Pumpkin patches aren’t around all year, right? They pop up for a little while from late October to early November and then disappear, so by the time you finally decide to go, they’re often already booked up or the season is over. Last year I missed one because I was too late, so this year I rounded them up ahead of time. I focused on places in OC and LA that are good to take the kids.

Prices and hours change a little every year, so be sure to check the official website before you go. Many places require reservations on weekends, and weekday mornings are much more relaxed. A lot of places sell pumpkins by weight, so don’t grab one that’s too big.
Where are you planning to go this year? If you’ve been somewhere, leave a review in the comments. The season is short, so planning ahead is the best way to go.
